Maps of Japan
Japan is separated into 4 main Islands! That is Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu, and Shikoku.
HONSHU (本州 )
Honshu is the mainland and consist of 34 states! The most famous state is Tokyo!
Map of Honshu (本州)
How big is Honshu? Well Honshu has 88,997 mi² for area, 1300 km (180 mi) for length and have 104.M(million) population!. The largest settlement is at Tokyo which has over 13.M population. Tokyo has always been a busy place you'll find as it is a global hub for finances, industry, fashion and etc. Even though its a busy city, there are many beautiful scenery you can find especially at night! You can search for more in Tsunagu Japan !!! You can search others too in google or other web engines that you are recommended. Tokyo is not the only place that has the beautiful scenery but there are many more in Honshu but I will not say more so you could go and explore it yourself. 😉
HOKKAIDO (北海道)
Maps of Hokkaido (北海道)
Hokkaido is thee the second largest island from the 4 main island! Hokkaido is well known for a place to visit as one of their main attraction is the cool weather and the unspoiled nature that has been a common in Hokkaido. During the winter times, the weathers are a bit harsh with the snowfall, the cold temperature and the hard, cold icy frozen lake and seas. While during summer times, the temperature is not even that hot like the other part of the country. If you are a nature lover, the Hokkaido is a great place to visit! (Oh I would love to visit too! 😆❤)
KYUSHU (九州)
Maps of Kyushu (九州)
Kyushu is Japan's third largest island! Kyushu is originally named from 9 province but I only know & states (prefecture) that is Kagoshime, Miyazaki, Kumamoto, Oita, Fukuoka, Saga, and Nagasaki! with Fukuoka being the largest city! Parts of Kyushu have a subtropical climate with that, the island is known for the subtropical vegetation.. Major crops are a rice, tea, tobacco, sweet potatoes, and etc! Heavy industry, including chemicals and metal processing, is concentrated in North Kyushu, near Japan's oldest coal field with the Kitakyushu, Fukuoka, and Omuta are major industrial centers. There are also many interesting places you can visit in Kyushu such as Canal City Hakata being the largest shopping complex among the ranks in Japan! To shopping lovers I bet you'll love this! For those who are interested in mystery event, I suggest you visit Hashima as it is an island that was inhabited by up to 5,229 people and then suddenly abandoned in 1974. Today, it's an eery example of what the world would look like if humans dissapeared. ( Oh I love mystery! 😄 )
SHIKOKU (四国)
Map of Shikoku (四国)
Shikoku is the smallest island from the main 4 islands in Japan! Shikoku originally consists of 4 states that is Kochi, Matsuyama, Tokushima, and Takamatsu with Matsuyama being the largest settlement with almost 514 population. There are many interesting and cool things you can visit in Shikoku! Such as Naruto Strait! Hey..dont laugh now..If ya think I'm making this up then guess again..I'm not...you can search for other website besides mine. You don't believe me? then check now. I'll wait...You searched it? See...haha..anyway it is famous for its swirling whirlpools, lies between Shikoku and Awaji Island. It is straddled by the Onaruto Bridge, which features a pedestrian walkway knows as the “whirlpool path.” At a height of 45 meters, the bridge offers wonderful, direct views of both the scenic strait and its whirlpools.
